The IGP is seen on a video meeting several senior officers who appear to be POMAB members, according to Accra-based TV3.

On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the much-anticipated demonstration demanding the resignation of Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor Dr. Ernest Addison and his two appointees was held.

The postponement was brought on by an injunction issued by the Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service due to a dispute over the routes on Tuesday, September 5.

Except for the organizers’ failure to deliver a petition to Dr. Addison, the demonstration was calm overall. The organizers were the Minority in Parliament.

The Governor and his deputies were not there since they were having a meeting with a representative from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), so the group was compelled to return with their petition.

Wing Commander (rtd) Kwame Asare Boateng, the director of security, attempted to collect the petition by meeting with the demonstrators, but he was rejected.
